It is not uncommon to hear that some of your favourite celebrities either paused their education or outrightly dropped out of school to pursue their dreams.

Although usually hailed for these decisions in light of their successes, the decision is a trickier one for a rising singer who is yet to become a household name.

Miracle Chike better known as Miraboi has not always had it easy before he ventured into music. He grew up in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos and had to do odd jobs to survive alongside his two brothers and two sisters.

His romance with entertainment started as a PR man but he decided to pursue his dreams fulltime by dropping out of school. The singer who made his entry into the Nigerian music scene with the debut single, “My Baby’ has declared that he has no regrets dropping out of school to pursue his dreams.

Miraboi grew up in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos. He revealed that things were not easy when growing up and had to do some odd jobs to survive. He has 2 brothers and two sisters.

According to him in a recent interview, he didn’t drop out of school to actually do music but to go after what he wanted in life and stressed that the move has caused him no pains whatsoever. He said:

“I didn’t drop out of school just to focus on music alone but to focus on everything I do in life. We came to this world to create and not to acquire what is not needed. At least my ultimate goal is to to make heaven.”

Already a 300 level student studying Marketing at the University of Porthacourt before he called it quits with school, he explains why he made the move to quit school.

“My friends were like since I have one more year to go to get my certificate why didn’t I finish up and I told them certificates don’t guarantee that I will be rich or guarantee that I will make heaven. It’s my life so I choose to help myself, everybody on earth has a different role to play directed by God, so I don’t think school is a guarantee to success. Already I’m making it in life and I don’t think they have any problem with that.”

However, he makes it clear that just because he dropped out of school does not mean he will encourage anyone else to do the same.  On his own kids choosing the same path as him, he says:

“Apart from my future kids, I’m not even encouraging anyone to drop out of school. Just like I said, everybody has a different role to play on earth as directed by God. So, my future kids’ direction is in the hands of God and not mine. I’m not the one who brought them to life God did and God knows what’s best. There’s no regret at all, life is all about experience and process, which I have already passed through.”

In the meanwhile, he is gearing up for the release of the video of “My Baby”.
