Nene, who did not give details, told a conference on monetary policy and tax reform in Johannesburg that the government could no longer take it for granted that tax system would remain appropriate for the future.

“We face pressures to introduce reforms when we consider fiscal pressures, growth inequality and tax avoidance,” Nene said.
