Dr. Vincent Olatunji, acting director general of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has applauded Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited for its outstanding contributions towards the e-government development in the country.

He made the remark during a courtesy visit to Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited on Wednesday, stressing the Agency’s readiness to partner with Sidmach on its programmes.

Sidmach has at various fora received commendations for its role in the development of the e-Curriculum portal project, a unique technological solution with a bold step toward achieving the Federal government’s policy on Information Technology in Education.

Mr. Peter Arogundade, managing director, Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited led the Executive and Management Team in welcoming the Ag. DG NITDA to Sidmach head office.

In his welcome address, Arogundade noted that it was the first time NITDA’s DG will be visiting the organization.

He said, “Sidmach is an indigenous Information Technology (IT) company with world class products and services. We provide integrated solutions to customers across the public and private sectors of the economy.

The organization was established 23 years ago by five Nigerians and over the years we have grown to become one of the leading IT Companies in Nigeria.

“At Sidmach, our people live our values and our actions are underpinned by these principles. Our corporate culture is professional, innovative, disciplined, friendly and open, and we are committed to excellence and global standards. We promote a work environment based on faith, respect, timeliness, objectivity, merit, effective communication, compliance with policies and processes, corporate loyalty and swift execution. We enjoy what we do.

“Our strength lies in our people who are very professional and together with our local and international partners, we are poised to deliver exceptional products and services. Our responsiveness, professional competence and partnership skills are what have continually given us the edge in our services offering. The company also have offices located in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt”.

He noted that Sidmach cherishes her partnership with NITDA and used the opportunity to thank the Agency for a number of collaborations and projects such as the e-Agriculture Platform, e-Health Platform and ideas regarding Start-Ups.

In his response, Dr. Vincent Olatunji, the NITDA Boss said, “I am very pleased to be in Sidmach and I appreciate the fact that the company is making tremendous contributions across the various e-Government platforms”.

He noted that the Agency will continue to work with Sidmach in areas of youth empowerment and capacity building especially with the present focus on economy diversification and he believes that Information Technology will generate income for Nigeria.

The assurance that an indigenous company could be trusted to deliver on major national projects is quite comforting.

To this end, Mr. Peter Arogundade noted that Sidmach strongly believe that the Nigerian IT market has great potentials and will become a point of reference across Africa and the world. We seek the continuous support of the Agency to create policies and opportunities for the growth of indigenous companies.

He assured the Ag. DG NITDA that SIDMACH will deliver on commitments and projects given to the organization to execute and restated the company’s support towards the actualization of various goals and projects of the National Information Technology Development Agency.
