LG targets 30% market share with launch of commercial AC

LG Electronics has launched its commercial Air Conditioning (AC), and stated that it is capturing 30 per cent market share in Nigeria.

According to the firm, the products feature the inverter technology for energy saving, and perceived noise level by approximately 20 per cent.

LG showcased its range of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems at the third Mega Clima West Africa HVAC 2019 in Lagos. The event offered equal opportunities for companies to state their positioning in the industry and new product offerings.

Sales Manager, LG Electronics, West Africa-Air Conditioning, Saheed Adeyemi, said the AC is an inverter technology driven product to cushion power challenge in Nigeria.

“Some of our products like the dual cool can work with the generator as low as 0.9KV. We sell through authorised distributors. We have implored our distributors to have a service hub to provide after sale service,” he added.

Since the introduction of its first-generation Multi V plus, LG has boost its market share with cutting-edge innovations. The LG Multi V 5 is available from 8HP to 96HP, with a choice of heat recovery/heat pump outdoor units. The Multi V 5 also features a new biomimetic fan design that enables the unit operate efficiently and increase airflow.

General Manager-Air Solutions Division, LG Electronics West Africa Operations, Jungjune Yoon, said the demand continues to grow for the firm’s commercial, light commercial and residential systems high-performance HVAC technology.

The LG Multi V S is a compact, 5-ton heat recovery unit that operates single-phase power, designed to provide excellent energy efficiency and the versatility of simultaneous heating and cooling.

“Multi V S provides maximised energy efficiency while minimising operational costs. Compact yet powerful VRF for private residences and small offices. It controls the refrigerant temperature according to indoor, outdoor and setting temperatures. This saves a lot of energy and maximises indoor comfort level in cooling/heating modes,” Yoon added.
