Infinix unveils two-day battery smartphone
The company said Infinix Hot Note was the latest innovative addition to the Infinix family and was powered by a 4000 mAh battery with a “uniquely developed charger that allows three times faster than normal charge and stays on for two days without charge and also guarantees seven-hour active usage for just 20 minutes charge.”
In a statement, Infinix said it would sell the phone in collaboration with e-commerce platform, Jumia and telecommunications company, MTN.
“We want to give Nigerians a chance to enjoy a revolutionary smartphone that is tailored to suit their needs. The Infinix Hot Note is a superior alternative to 5.5 inch smartphone and will provide users with a better experience through innovative fast-charge design,” the statement read.
Infinix Mobility co-founder, Benjamin Jiang, signed the statement.
He said, “The high specification is matched by an innovative design. The product design team, based in Paris and Shanghai, has created a sleek device presenting metallic material feeling and finishing, created to fit in your hands.
“The elegant device comes in premium design with metallic finish, unique and stylish colours, and has a slimmer and longer body. It is fitted with a huge 5.5 inch HD display which generates gorgeous High Definition (1280 x 720 pixels) images, and is equipped with several multimedia and connectivity features.”
The Infinix Hot Note runs on the latest Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system, providing users with enhanced sharing, synchronising and visual features. The device is powered by 1.4GHz MTKOcta-Core processor, which allows it to run smoothly and optimally.
“In addition, the phone has an internal memory of 16GB giving you enough storage space for your photos and files. The device comes with an 8MP main camera and an advanced image sensor, allowing you to capture HD video at 30 frames per second. There is also a 2MP front camera with support for 75 per cent wide angle shooting for easy selfies with friends and family. The Hot Note x551 device supports dual SIM with both supporting 2G/3G,” Jiang said.
He added, “Equipped with new security features, the Hot Note is able to check all incoming programmes for your device, hence protecting itself from malware and viruses that may be found in unscreened apps.
The device also screens Internet apps for permission to use your personal data giving you power to manage your data.”
He said through a ‘factory-to-consumer’ model, Infinix was collaborating with Jumia.com, a leading player of e-commerce in Nigeria, to reduce channel costs, create a new business model and bring incredible value to customers.
