Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) has said it is working with techno-preneurs to create an application to monitor reform processes implemented in all sectors across the country.

The council said this would enable a business climate reform database, which would measure the reform’s impact internally through Servicom and other processes, as well as proffer solutions to the challenges.

This was disclosed at PEBEC Hackathon competition tagged: “Government meets Business meets Technology,” which had 15 teams of techno-preneurs compete to create a business climate reform application.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Industry, Trade and Investment and coordinator of the Enabling Business Environment Secretariat (EBES), Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, who described the application as “whistle blowing,” said the idea is to create a system, where Nigerians can have an accountability medium to monitor business reform processes in all sectors and give feedback to government.

She explained that the techno-preneurs would crate a solution to measure reforms, which PEBEC has implemented across the country. She said: “this takes us to data, and with data, you can pinpoint where you need to make your changes.
