Etisalat partners Comptel to launch BlazeOn time-based data solution

Telecommunications firm, Etisalat Nigeria has launched a time-based mobile data solution, called BlazeOn, powered by Comptel’s FWD solution.The launch of BlazeOn, an Android App available to Etisalat customers, marked the beginning of a new experience in mobile data usage for subscribers on the network.

The Director, Consumer Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Adeolu Dairo, said: “Most Internet users in Nigeria don’t know how much mobile data they consume while browsing or streaming.

BlazeOn, our time-based data plan addresses this situation, as it redefines the purchase experience for our customers and empowers them to buy Etisalat Easyblaze data plans in minutes and hours.
 
Dairo explained that BlazeOn demonstrates Etisalat Nigeria’s commitment to deliver superior customer experience to its subscribers, stressing that the goal is to create more value for customers by improving quality, reducing cost and introducing innovation.

 
FWD is a cloud-based solution that enables time-based data packages to be purchased directly from end user devices. It makes the data purchasing process more personal for consumers, allowing them to purchase mobile data in bite-sized chunks that are easier to understand and manage.
 
To enjoy the service, customers on the Etisalat network must download the BlazeOn App from the Etisalat website: etisalat.com.ng/blazeon/ free of charge or install the app from Google PlayStore or Galaxy App Store.In a related development, Etisalat has also power access to instant loans with KwikCash initiative
  
The service, which is currently available only on the Etisalat network, was developed for subscribers who have bank accounts and need to access cash loans to settle urgent financial needs. It enables customers to get instant loans with ease using their mobile phones.
  
The Chairman, Support Microfinance Bank, Dr. Ekechi Nwokah, welcomes the partnership as a significant milestone for the banking industry in Nigeria.

He added that just by dialling *561#, Etisalat subscribers can access loans of up to N100,000 anywhere, anytime and on any type of phone including feature phones.The code (*561#) opens a whole new world to Etisalat subscribers where they can request a loan that is instantly credited to their bank account. Subscribers can also dial the same code to check their loan balance, repay outstanding loans, and access lower interest rates if they recommend KwikCash to another subscriber who takes a loan and repays.
 
Director, Digital Business, Etisalat Nigeria, Adia Sowho, described KwikCash as an innovative service that utilises cutting-edge digital technology and Etisalat’s network to bring relief to individuals who are in urgent need of funds, and helps drive financial inclusion in the country.
