DrinksDrinks.ng an online destination of inventory for drinks has launched an outlet to improve distribution and promote sales of product, targeted at reducing operational cost and logistics.

Considering celebration as a big part in our culture, Drinks.ng serves as the first online market in Nigeria that deals with the sales, supply and distribution of pure drinks ranging from alcohol to soft drinks.

The outlet, a 200 squaremetre is situated at a metropolis in Lagos is expected to serve its consumers with low and middle-income earners due to geographical statistic of the environment.

Speaking at the launch in Lagos, the Managing Director, Olanrewaju Akinlagun, said the launching of the outlet is aimed at merging online retail purchase and offline market together is to bring the business into limelight and to ensure trust.

“We took the Domino’s model of business and try to merge it with our online business opening physical distribution centre doubled up as outlet which has helped reduce operational cost and logistics.

According to him, most of the masses have no interest in buying drinks online though they talk about smartphone penetration but all they do include BBM, Whatsapp and Facebook. Consumers are researchers, not a lot know what they want. They research online and purchase offline.

“The opportunity in online drink market is huge as its values runs into millions of naira for investment, adding that with the necessary support, e-commerce should acquire reasonable stake in the industry, he said.
