A data storage solution firm, DELL EMC, has urged businesses to seize the opportunities in the digital economy for easy operations.

The firm in collaboration with Bluechip Technologies Ltd. at a meeting in Lagos, added that Information Technology (IT) is faced with the challenge of enabling businesses analyse relevant data for making timely decisions.

The event was focused on the role of technology in driving efficiencies with 30 delegates including Chief Information Officers (CIOs) of Dangote Group, Chicason Group, GTBank, First Bank, Suntrust Bank and Dell EMC experts.

Chief Delivery Officer, Bluechip Technologies, Tope Ajao, said complexity is one of the major problems that businesses are faced with today.

“This complexity includes huge data sets, new technologies, increasing regulation, globalisation and increasing customer awareness and mobility. Organisation such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook etc. have proven that simplicity is the way forward.

“Hence, helping organisations simplify their IT landscape will tremendously lower cost and differentiate their products or services. Dell EMC provides end-to-end solution that enables smart decisions for people and applications within the window of decision opportunity.” Ajao added.

Despite the economic impact of low foreign currency supply, challenging commodity and oil prices, there is no doubt that enterprise businesses in Nigeria are ready to seize the opportunities in the digital economy.

Re-affirming its commitment to the West African Market as both strategic and innovative, the Dell EMC event showcased how companies can unleash the power of digital innovation while finding a balance between maintaining their current infrastructure and innovating without disruption.
