CWG partners OLX to offer SMERP solution to SMEs

CWG Plc, has inked a partnership deal with OLX, one of the world’s leading classifieds platform in growth markets, to offer its SMERP Solution to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria for free.

CWG, largest Information Technology Integration Company in Nigeria built the SMERP Solution to enable Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) manage their business operations efficiently.

Speaking of the partnership, Mr. Chidiebere Asiegbu, the Business Development Manager, SMERP at CWG said the aim of the partnership is to leverage the OLX platform to reach and deploy the SMERP Solution to the over 100,000 unique merchants, who use the OLX platform.

Asiegbu noted that it’s expected that at least 20 per cent of the merchants on the OLX platform would need a business management tool such as the SMERP Solution to support their business. “We are happy with this partnership because it will afford us the opportunity to reach and deploy the SMERP Solution that enable growth, especially for the SMEs segment of the Nigerian economy, which accounts for over 25 percent of employment in the country,” he said.

Also commenting on the partnership, Mr. Mayokun Fadeyibi, Senior Manager, Business Development at OLX stated that, the OLX platform, available in more than 45 countries and over 50 languages would be able to connect its local merchant in Nigeria to the SMERP Solution, in order to boost their business operations.

According to an excited Fadeyibi, OLX would be responsible for using their different marketing channels to get their merchants to subscribe to the SMERP Solution, while CWG would create and supports them on the business management tool.

“This partnership with a Pan-African company like CWG is a frontier leap to our business and the merchants that have been using our platform. The solution enables the merchants to automate their ordering and sales process, which creates efficiency in their business,” he added.

As part of the partnership, CWG would train the merchants on the use of the platform, onboard the merchant on the platform and host and support the platform for use by the merchants, while OLX’s role will be to advise and encourage the merchant to use the platform, through its communication channels, work with CWG to launch the business collaboration arrangement contemplated herein, and also sensitize the merchant on the functionalities, usage and benefits of the platform.
