With the world’s biggest economies on their knees over COVID-19 pandemic the Chief Executive Officer of Chiji14xchange, Odum Chijioke John, an online trading platform designed specifically for cryptocurrency trading and Gift cards exchange has highlighted its effect on bitcoin trading in Nigeria and indeed, the world.

He said, “The very wonderful thing about bitcoin is that it’s a decentralized online currency. This, simply means that it’s a currency stored online or in some cases offline but is controlled by the people and not any central bank or government. And although bitcoin was hit at first and suffered big losses as a result of the escalation of the virus it has since recovered some pace and is expected to thrive during this period in the world market.

“As for Nigeria and Nigerian exchanges, it is just the same as the rest of the world. Bitcoin also enables remote operations and that’s why Chiji14xchange even though we have our office base, in this time have adopted remote staff operations and still will function seamlessly.”

Odum is confident that cryptocurrency trading is a good investment. The graduate of Mathematics from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri was introduced to bitcoin trading system in 2017 before founding his platform, Chiji14xchange in 2018. He recalled with pleasure his experience so far in the bitcoin trading system.

“I was introduced to bitcoin around February 2017 and at that time, 1 bitcoin was worth almost $900. But today, the value of that amount is worth $7,150, which is a whopping $6200 profit. I can confidently say that no other asset can boast of such growth during the stipulated period,” he said, adding that many International exchanges have come to open shops in Nigeria.

Odum Chijioke John, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chiji14xchange was born November 15, 1994. He is from Mbaukwu in Awka South local government of Anambra State but lives and works in Lagos.

He had both his primary and secondary education in Lagos; Golden Light Primary School, Ejigbo and Omatseye Tuedor Memorial College, respectively. He later moved closer home for his tertiary education at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State where he bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
