If you are a believer claiming to be walking in the fear of God, you are expected to observe all decorum in the strictest forms of it. This is because actions are a true test of men’s real opinions. If you profane the name of God while claiming to be walking in the fear of God, you are a hypocrite. If you cheat, steal, lie, commit fornication, abortion, adultery and kill and simultaneously claiming to be a Christian, you are a double-dealer. It matters little what your speculative opinions may be, what your conduct does to your faith is more than what your profession can do. It is your life and conduct, and not merely the profession of your lips that does real honour to your faith. If you are a believer you must reject all conducts that could be inimical to your faith. The Scripture says, ‘let everyone that names the name of Christ depart from bad conduct.’ Those who wish to have the comfort of heaven must make conscious effort to walk in the fear of God. If we are called by His name, we must depart from iniquity, else He will not own us; He will say in that great day, ‘Depart from me, I never knew you.’ Those that have taken the profession of walking in the fear of God ought to ensure that their lives are in tandem with their profession because Christianity is not a speculative science, but a practical art of holy living.

Brethren, I implore you to do nothing to jeopardise your chances of ending your journey well for God will bring all things into judgment. Those who walk in sin cannot escape the judgment of God no matter how highly placed they are in the society.

Romans 2:1-2 “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.”

No excuse for any man, no matter how rich or devoted in the house of God he may be. We must not live our life contrary to the will of God. We are required to be holy and practise what we are preaching. If you judge, preach and do same thing, which you preached against, you shall not escape the judgment of God. It is an elementary standard that all who claim to be walking in the fear of God should lead holy lives amidst all the defections of errors. They must be known to be the true people of God who did avoid evil.

Romans 2:6,16 “Who will render to every man according to his deeds: In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.”

God will render to every man accordingly. I want to let you know that a day has been appointed in which God will judge the secret of men, and if you refuse to repent and stop those things, which nobody knows that you are doing, you will not escape the judgment of God. There shall be no secret in the eyes of God, He knows everything you have done, so every evil act committed whether willingly or unwillingly cannot be excused.

Numbers 32:23 “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.”

If you have done evil and refused to repent, on the judgment day, that evil shall expose you except you repent. As you are standing before Him, that evil shall be exposed, thus you are advised to work with fear in order to make heaven at last.

We should fear God and depart from all evil. Let those who are believers do all in fear of God. Let us make sure that we do not mix things up and allow our body, mouth, heart to lure us into evil. We must not see sin as a way of life but should stand against it and fight against it and ensure that it shall not become part of our life.
