The true light – Part 2

The Bible makes it clear that, while we were not saved (we were in darkness blinded and living in darkness of the love and peace of God) we were unrighteous and full of darkness.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14

From the above scripture, light cannot mix with darkness. Rather, it dispels darkness and the two cannot dwell together. This is why when a Christian is more comfortable with a non-believer or enjoys such things as gossiping and evil behaviour, it shows you his level of light and godliness. 

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Ephesians 5: 11

The true believer has put away such character of darkness. In the way ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy and filthy communication out of your mouth. 
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  Colossians 3:7-10

What you do and the fruits you produce determine whether you are a light in this world or not. Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. Ephesians 5:10.

Because you are the church of God, those that walk in darkness will come to the brightness of your light. Jesus declared it boldly, ‘I am the light of the world.’ John 9: 5. 
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. John 9: 5.
You are a pathfinder; you dispel evil or darkness. Unfortunately, many people prefer darkness to light because their hearts are evil. They do not want men to see what they do, and rather want their deeds covered. 

Darkness represents evil or lack of peace, a state of hopelessness and fear.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. John 3:19-20
The acts of evil are a result of man’s relationship with the evil one, who has stolen the heart of many and blinded them from seeing. Jesus said it clearly in chapter 8:39-44: you are of your father the devil. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 
Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word. 

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 
Until you are in the light, you cannot do the will of the father (you are not Abraham’s seed). If you are of the light, there are things you will do and not do by the revelation of light. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.  And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.  2 Samuel 23:3-4
