The certainty of Christ coming

The 21st century Church shows less regard, concern or preparation for the coming of the Lord. But there is a revival coming on the Church at this End Time. Jesus did not leave us uncertain about His return to rapture the saints home.

Jesus was certain about His return. Jesus Himself made this promise that He is coming back again. In John 14:3, Jesus said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Jesus cannot lie. He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). He is the Son of God. All that He said about Himself and His Father have stood the test of time. There is no power on earth, in the sea and beneath the sea and on the air that can stop Christ’s return.

The Angels of God declared about Jesus’ return after His Ascension in Acts 1:11, “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into Heaven.” The Apostles also taught and declared about Jesus coming back (2 Thessalonians 3:5).

The Word of God speaks of the certainties of the end of the world. Jesus said, “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matthew 24:37). Our world today, just like the days of Noah, is filled with wickedness, corruption, violence, murders, wars, insurrections, etc.
The purpose of His coming

• Jesus is coming back to take the saints home – (rapture). These are those that have received Him as their Lord and Personal Saviour.

• He is coming to judge sinners and the wicked ones. Those who are living carelessly, although some of them may be living in prosperity, but this is for a short while, as they will be judged.

On the Judgment Day, no one can hide from God. Books will be opened and another book shall be opened, and those whose names are not found in the Book of Life shall be cast into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone (Revelation 20:12-15). But the righteous will be rewarded.

• Jesus is coming to put the world system to an end.

When is Jesus coming?

The day and the time of His coming are unknown. He will come as a thief in the night. Jesus said, “Of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only” (Matthew 24:36).

Regardless, the end of the world is coming for you the moment you die, and that could be at any time for any of us. We never know. What have you done to prepare for that moment when your heart stops beating?

You ask, “What do I have to do?” First, you have to be willing to repent of your sins. Second, you come by faith, which means you put your trust in Him and say, “Lord, I give myself to You.”

The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to miss Heaven. Do all you can to make Heaven. Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people.
