It take a combination of attitude for someone to go far in life. Life is a journey and God uses men as a vehicle to bring us to our divine destination of Dominion, which is God’s desired purpose for us. Just as it took Moses and Joshua to bring the children of Israel to the Promised Land, so it is with all men. Nobody can succeed without others. It takes a man to introduce another man to his place of Dominion. The Cup-bearer introduced Joseph to Pharaoh and Saul’s servant introduced him to the prophet Samuel. As a tree can’t make a forest, so also no single man will succeed without the help of another man. No matter how spiritual a man may be or claims to know God, but it he has no relationship with a fellow man, he is already a failure on arrival, as no man can succeed alone.

(Ecclesiastes 4:10) For if they fall, the other one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. It is important to know some attitude you must wear to prevail before God and Men. (Genesis 32:28) And he said, Thy name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Humility
For a man to find favour with other men and God, he must have a good sense of humility, as every man has a kind of ego and will not easily open up to a man who looks proud and full of themselves. In most cases, a proud man lives in a fool’s Paradise because he will never subject himself to authority or those that are in a position to help him. Men love to be respected, and a man with a proud look lacks true respect for others. Only a humble man, who is able to respect others is sure to open their treasury for himself. (James 4:6) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Hear More; Talk Less
Useful information can come from anybody, and for you get more from people, you have to be a good listener and talk less. Because those that talk much are prone to unnecessary arguments that provoke the spirit of fellow-men against them. (James 1:19) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Anger Control
A man that must succeed must learn how to put his anger in check, must be slow to anger because an angry man will always feel offended by others, while in truth, he would have been offensive to the people around him, and that will limit his power of association to the people who may help him. (Proverbs 14:29) He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Be Caring
Be ready to support and help others, as much as it may be possible for you. Show a little kindness whenever the opportunity presents itself. You should not be given to jealousy or unnecessary envy toward other people’s success or achievement. Rather, be happy for them, celebrate them and get motivated by their success, using the opportunity to learn, while asking God to do the same unto you. But if people around you suffer loss, sympathise with them, as this shows you are concerned and care about them. This automatically places you in the mind of people that may help you, either now or in the future. (Romans 12:15) Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. This will enable you to be cheerful before God always, and make you a recipient of same favour.
