Redeemer’s university held its12th matriculation ceremony on Thursday, January 26, to officially admit 364 undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Held in the university auditorium, Ede, Osun State, the VC, Professor Debo Adeyewa, noted that this generation is both superlative and supernatural, adding that they transcend Generation X and Generation Z and other modern trends.

Urging student to work hard, the Prof. Adeyewa said the school’s degree certificate is awarded only to those who have been found worthy both in character and in learning, stressing on the need for students to be focused, studious and law-abiding.

The VC disclosed that since inception, ‘the university records shows that about five per cent of students made first class, while 35 per cent, 45 per cent and 15 per cent fall into the second class upper, second class lower and other classes respectively.’

The highlight of the event was the recognition of Emmanuel Marakwe-Ogu, who developed software solutions for the university.
