RCCG reiterates commitment to humanity through charity organisations

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has continued to touch lives through its charity organisations, such as His Love Foundation, a faith inspired charity that has served millions of people world-wide, regardless of their gender, religion, social or economic backgrounds. It has collaborated with over 43,318 partners in various locations all over Nigeria and in 197 nations.

The Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Christian Social Responsibility (CSR), Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, at the inaugural “Media Meet and Greet” said: “As a charity organisation, His Love Foundation has achieved stability and touch more lives through institutional partnerships.

CSR is simply a faith-based obligation to meet societal needs through the demonstration of love that positively impacts communities and individuals. Our six primary focus areas are: Health, Hunger, Prisons, Education, Social Enterprise and Rehabilitation.”

On the foundation’s commitment, Iluyomade said 57, 686 projects had so far been executed, with over 14,065,959 persons benefiting from it.

Iluyomade, who pastors RCCG City of David, Victoria Island, added that the church has successfully covered the 36 states in the country, including the FCT with 455 local government areas impacted.

He said: “We have committed ourselves to the mission of “Help for the helpless, Hope for the hopeless, Food for the hungry, and Strength for the weak. We have also conducted medical outreaches twice a year since inception with 230, 538 beneficiaries. We’ve also equipped the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Intensive Care Unit (LASUTH ICU) and over 91,703 students have benefitted from scholarships, educational grant and free Schools, tuition, uniforms, free meals, and books.

“We have also rehabilitated Kirikiri health centre, chapel and Open University library, refurbished and equipped Kirikiri Prison Medical Centre, renovation of Christ the Light Chapel Building at Kirikiri, provision of over 5,000 packs of food for prison inmates in Lagos every Sunday, and donation of ambulances to Kirikiri Maximum Prison and Agodi Prison, Ibadan, among others.”
