Prayer of agreement

Prayer is a powerful force, far more powerful than all the bombs in the world. The “Prayer of Agreement” is a potential force unused by the church today. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:18 that we should pray in the Spirit at all times with all kinds of prayer. It means there are different kinds of prayer, and prayer of agreement is one of them.

Prayer of agreement is two or more persons coming together to pray concerning anything. Prayer of agreement is standing as one in prayer as touching anything they shall ask.

“There is power in praying together. Deuteronomy says of God’s army that ‘one man (could) chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight’ (32:30). There is a multiplied effect in being together before God. It was the corporate prayer of Acts 1:14 that produced the corporate power of Acts 2:42-47. Corporate prayer brings corporate power (Acts 4:14-31).” Steve Meeks

To ‘Agree’ means to be harmonious; to agree together; to agree with. Prayer of Agreement simply means agreeing together with someone concerning any matter in prayer. Agreement is synergy. Exponential and synergistic power is unleashed through the Prayer of Agreement.

To be in agreement is to be in unity. It is to stand as one. Synergy is caused by the power of many. Agreement prayer produces an effect greater than the sum of our individual parts. It produces greater power than individualistic prayer. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 32:30, “one man will chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight”.

Wherever two or more persons come together to pray in the name of Jesus, God is there in their midst. Mathew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Thus, God’s presence is provoked through prayer of agreement.

The prayer of agreement is a form of prayer frequently used by Jesus. Before Jesus was arrested and He invited Peter, James, and John to pray with Him. He was sorrowful and troubled about facing death on the cross. Then he said to them, ‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”’ – (Matt. 26:36-38).

Is your soul troubled or are things getting tougher with you the more you pray? Get someone to agree with you in prayer, as touching anything that you need God’s intervention and it shall be done. Psalm 1:2, “when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Unity is a force. Whenever any group of people gather in one accord, nothing can be impossible with them. That is why the devil doesn’t want you and your wife to get along and wants to divide your family. The devil does not want to see unity among brethren, because he knows that unity is a force. Psalm 133:1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

Bible says, “one shall chase a thousand and two shall chase ten thousand to flight”. The ordinary arithmetic is for two to chase two thousand since one can chase a thousand. Get someone to agree with you in prayer and it will give you extra dimension growth.

We are better together and stronger together. When we walk in harmony with our brothers and sisters we have a stronger impact for the Kingdom of God!
