Party chieftain tasks members on commitment
The Delta North Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Moses Idu, has called on members of the party in Ika South Local Government Area to remain focused and steadfast in the pursuit of the ideals of the party at the grassroots.
Idu gave the charge at Agbor, while speaking at the inauguration of Ika South council executive and ward chairmen of the party in the area.
He urged them to adopt team spirit in carrying out their assignments and guard against divisive tendencies.
Chairman of the party in the area, Hon. Collins Bello enjoined the ward executives to close ranks and embark on an aggressive membership drive in preparation for the 2019 election, saying the incumbent Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa must be returned for a second term.
He disclosed that two members of the council executive were absent at the inauguration, and gave their names and portfolios as Mr. Emmanuel Ejeme, Treasurer and Barrister Lucas Mayawu, the Legal Adviser.
