Challenges Of The Seat Of Power

We cannot continue to suffer in the hand of brambles and so; God will put correct people into the seat of authority.

When God raises you into the highest seat of authority, take note of what Daniel had to do.

There was confrontation, there was challenge, and there was temptation to compromise his stand, but he maintained his focus.

The first temptation Daniel had was the issue of change of name. Daniel’s name is Judaic, which means God is Judge. But Nebuchadnezzar said the name has to be changed to Belshazzar.

The name, Bel is the satanic, demonic god of Babylon. Shazzar means god of knowledge, information, and wisdom. They were trying to get Daniel to compromise to remove a godly name to a demonic, satanic name. But look at what Daniel did. When they changed his name, Daniel did not argue.

Do you know that the problem with many young people is that when they have a small entrance into the corridor of power, they want to change everything overnight? If by the time you enter the corridor of power and you want to change everything overnight, the only thing that will be changed is you. They will change you and dump you and pick another person that will take your place.

Daniel did not just enter the corridor of power and want to change everywhere and become a sudden voice and authority, he applied wisdom and allowed them change his name. But read the whole book of Daniel, you will discover that Daniel never called himself Belshazzar.

Daniel always refers to himself as Daniel. No matter how hard others may try to change you, if you do not change yourself, they cannot change you.

Having escaped that one, the second temptation to compromise was the challenge of alcohol. They brought Daniel alcoholic wine, but he refused and rather chose what would not affect his worship with God.

By virtue of his position/office, he was entitled to some certain privileges, which were not in accordance with his belief.

This is also a challenge to every Christian, that not everything that comes along with your position is God’s blessing, especially those that are contrary to your belief.

The third challenge Daniel faced was that of food sacrificed to the idols.

He accepted the offer of the food, but told Ashpinaz to try him for ten days with vegetables. And at the end of the ten days, he should examine him to see whether he wouldn’t look fresher than the other people. And he succeeded in getting Ashpinaz’s heart the more.

If the church withdraws completely from government, very soon we will enter the hand of terrorists and we will be slaughtered.

What if Esther had not entered the beauty pageantry, the whole Jews would have died. But Esther did not compromise. When you stand for the truth, heaven will promote you. And when God raises a man, nobody can bring him down.

When you have entered those places and God sees your faithfulness, a day will come for your true promotion.

A day came, when Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, which made him to wake up in the middle of the night and could not sleep again. He tried to recall the dream.

In the morning, he called all of his magicians and asked them to interpret his dream. But they couldn’t give him favourable answer. And they had to go and fetch Daniel. (Daniel 2:46-49).

A young man who was a stranger in the Babylonian system, within three years he penetrated the system and took over the system without compromising. Daniel 6:25:28.

Daniel entered the system and did not allow the system to change him, but he uncompromisingly changed the system.

There was no king from Nebuchadnezzar through Darius to Cyrus that did not have a witness that the God of Daniel was a living God.

The time has come for Bramble leaders to give way. The Olive, Fig, and Vine trees must rise.

May God remove Brambles from our systems; in offices, local governments, states and even the nation in Jesus name. Amen. God bless.
