The Koinonia Ministerial Network (KOMNET), Lagos, has ended its Conference. The vision of KOMNET’s conference, which held on December 2, 2019, was to foster healthy ministerial relationships among gospel ministers. Its aims and objectives include apostolic connection, networking, and co-operation for the common good and advancement of the individual ministers and their ministries.

Some of KOMNET’s objectives are: uniting members through networking, fellowship, encouragement, inspiration and correction where the need arises; promoting the general welfare of the individual ministers and their respective ministries; empowering members through regular and periodic meetings, seminars, workshops, and other joint programmes for exhortation, edification and encouragement; providing a common front and plat form for the advancement of the interest of the members and invariably covering for ministers of the gospel, as well as providing national/international networking opportunities for members to realise their full potentials, by creating opportunities for exposure.

Speaking on “Uniqueness Of Your Ministry,” Senior Pastor, Victory Inheritance, Lekki, Apostle Jonathan Imogu took his text from Ephesians 4:10 -11. He explained that uniqueness is the quality of being the only one of its kind. He said it’s all about you, being yourself and not acting on others’ mentality.

He said: “You cannot change the uniqueness that God has given you. When you go out of your uniqueness, you will look like every other person. Your success is hidden within your uniqueness. So, help yourself by staying in your uniqueness.” The cleric, who noted that there is a story behind a glory, said: “If you don’t stay in your uniqueness lane, you will be a mockery. Don’t try to be another person, stay in your lane, James 1:4-6). He encouraged the ministers to go through the challenges in ministry boldly. He added that consistency is proof of conviction.

Another speaker, Bishop Benson Ashiedu of Dominion People Apostolic Mission also spoke on the theme, quoted Colossians 4:17 and Hebrew 5: 4-11. Expatiating on the meaning of uniqueness, Asiedu said it means peculiarity, unequal, being separate and different in your acts and doings. Uniqueness, according to him, brings togetherness and peace. He also admonished ministers to stay in their lane of uniqueness, while remaining focused and not get carried away by material things. He said: “Pray with your uniqueness, work and stand tall among others.”

The chairman of ‘KOMNET’ Lagos chapter, Apostle Dare Omole, while appealing to ministers to believe in themselves, said they should recognise their uniqueness and work as God has instructed.
