Where is my love – Part 2

Beloved, there is no ambiguity in the context above. Our God expressly demands that we love Him with all that we have. And since by Him all things consist, it, therefore, means that how we live our lives, relate with our neighbours and have fellowship with God must be spiced with the love we have for God.

Matt. 22:37-40, “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Beloved, there is no ambiguity in the context above. Our God expressly demands that we love Him with all that we have. And since by Him all things consist, it, therefore, means that how we live our lives, relate with our neighbours and have fellowship with God must be spiced with the love we have for God.

The Lord wants to see the love you have for Him in all you do. He wants to see you practising what you claim. So, where is the love of God towards your neighbour, brethren in the house of God and also for all? You have to show that love, for that is what will confirm your claim that you have love for Christ. That will be a practical demonstration to show that you have what you claim and where you cannot prove your claim, the Lord is asking you ‘where is my love.’ The first duty a believer owes the Lord is to love Him with all his being and whenever he ceases to meet the demand of this duty, he will consequently incur the wrath of God.

Rev. 2:4-5 says, “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

The Lord is saying I have a case with you, which is that you have left your first love. If the last mentioned scenario is your case, you must do something today, as you read this message, because the Lord knows everything about you. Any person who does not have love does not have the seal of God, thus the Spirit of God.

I John 4:7-8 says, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”

If you don’t have love, you are not of God because God is love. Anybody that says he is a child of God, such a person is saying I have the spirit of love, that is an evident that that person is of God. Anybody that does not love has no spirit of God in him or her. Christian service or work is done with God’s love, and if you don’t have the love of God, you will not make yourself available for God’s work. If you say you love your church and you love God, but you don’t have love for your neighbour, you do not have the love of God in you. If you claim to be a Christian and do not love the righteousness of God, or the work of evangelism to win sinners for Christ, then you are not of His.

God loves humanity and has proved it by sending His only Son to die for mankind. Christ did not die only for the righteous, Israelites, Jews or the Gentiles, but He died for the whole humanity. And that is the kind of love God is demanding from you, the love that covers all, the love that makes you not to have enemy, makes you to forgive and preach to sinners. That is the more reason our evangelism, which is a demonstration of the love of God, should not be limited to our neighbours, friends and colleagues.

So, no one should claim to love God, if he limited love to only his family, neighbour or friends. Therefore, if you are there and does not have this kind of love that goes across races, colours and tribes, you should understand that you are the one the Lord is talking to this day, saying, where is my love?
