Everything on the surface of earth is time framed. There is a time to be born, a time to walk, a time to… and the list goes on. Therefore, as humans, we must be conscious of this fact and live with fear and trembling, knowing on this part of life our activities and achievements are timed. We don’t have that luxury of time as some men think.
The Psalmist, aware of this fact, states in Psalm 90:12,

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
It takes a man of understanding to know he doesn’t have the ‘forever’ on this side of life. We must be alive to this fact and therefore live as a wise man in pursuing our dreams and visions. It is only in eternity that time does not exist.

God operates with man based on His agenda, and His agenda are in times and seasons. We must understand that no man and nothing can hold God to ransome, there will always be a man to fill in the gap. These seasons and times affect the way the earth runs, so man must walk in line with God’s agenda to fulfil his mandate for mankind. Remember that it is not our agenda but His. If we must live without regrets and sorrow, we must understand and live with this mind.

One man that walked with His time and season is Jesus and He is our example. Jesus, while on earth, was mindful of God’s agenda, the details, His purpose and timing. He didn’t play a guess game with His life; He knows what to do per time.

Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.  And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. John 12: 44-50.

Therefore, He was careful to walk according to it and in wisdom. This will bring me to an important aspect in our lives. We must be careful how we walk as a man on a mission to fulfilling purpose. We must guard and guide our ways. We must not be careless with our lives, because the enemy is watching and looking for opportunity to lay a snare in our way. Many have made shipwreck of their lives because they forgot they were on a timed mission on earth.

Apostle Paul further buttress this point in the book of Ephesians,
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-17

We must be wise and not walk like fools, because the days are evil and the time is not all ours. Redeeming the time Ephesians 5:16
