The yet to be transformed believer – Part 2

If you are claiming to be a born-again Christian and you are not totally in agreement with the Scripture’s position on all matters, then, your claim is false and you are nothing but a hypocrite. If you claim to be a believer and still delights to be in the company of old sin partners, you are not yet transformed, thus a hypocrite. If you believe only in the existence of God, but are not controlled by His spirit, you are a problem to real believers.
2 Cor. 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”

A true and converted believer is the one who have lost his or her will, goal, ambition, or sense to our God. Old life ended when we died and were buried. And being born anew, we are new creatures who must live a new life. The affections, motives, thoughts and hopes, in fact the whole life must at same time be renewed. Your aspiration will be submerged into the word of God in order to allow His Will prevail in all matters of your life. Matt. 26:42 says;“He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.”

If in your daily activities, the Will of God is not prevailing in your life and you claim to be a Christian, then your claim is not genuine. I want to let you know that, even if death is the Will of God, you must accept it if you are a true believer. When you cannot accept the Will of God, it is an indication that you have not yet transformed, although you may believe in the existence of God, but you are not of Him. Whoever is converted will follow the Lord in all things, even to the detriment of self, and pleasure. No matter how negative it will affect him, he will no longer do things for personal gain. His interest will only be what will bring glory to God, for he will always live his life to please God.

Matt. 4:18-20 and 22 state, “And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him… And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him”

Willingness to submit to the Lord’s wishes was demonstrated by the duo of the converted Apostles. As soon as Jesus issued the order, without hesitation Peter and his brother Andrew complied and left their nets; walked out on their father and followed Him. They abandoned their lucrative business and followed Jesus. Recall that they were not called to be made millionaires. The command was explicit, they were told to follow and no mention of wage negotiation was recorded, and they just left everything and followed Him. The business they left was among the most lucrative businesses of the time, but they left all and followed Him.

Brethren, there are many people that falsely claim they are converted, born again and spirit filled, but they are not. They are convinced about Christ but they are yet to be transformed. The truly converted Christians followed, and didn’t ask Jesus to negotiate terms of engagement. Rather, they followed straight away. Therefore, if you want to be a follower of Jesus Christ, you must be prepared to follow, not only with your body, but also with your soul and mind. If a man has the knowledge of God, but is not influenced by the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus and not conformed to His image, he is a stranger to God. It matters not what else he may be such as, bold in his zeal, or active in promoting the interests of his Church. But if he has not the temper of the Saviour, and does not manifest His Spirit, he is a tinkling cymbal.
