Beloved, no one should be carried away with the peace that is being championed all over the world today. We are witnesses to the fact that whenever they say peace and safety, what suddenly ensues is destruction. This is because no effort of man can abate the ongoing crises spreading across the world.

The failure to achieve a functional peace in the world is not a collapse of the intelligent and intellectual ability of man, but an attestation that the ability of the natural man cannot address a supernatural phenomenon, except he is empowered by God.

The ongoing crises are warning sign from God to let us know that the Lord’s coming is at hand. 1Thes.1: 2-3 says, “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

No peace effort by man can see the light of the day; rather, crises will continue to increase until the day of the Lord comes. Although the impenitent and wicked world would like to have peace, but they will continue to sink in carnal peace and security, because they are relying on the deceit sold to them by the devil, which hinders them from amending their lives and returning to God, Who is the Author of peace. They depend on their ability to make peace and are thus unprepared for His advent.

This was the case in Noah’s time, when flood overran the world, as well as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by fire. And so shall it be, when the Lord Jesus shall return to judge the world. But God has given us a sign so that we can prepare for His coming, and anybody that pays no attention to this sign shall be destroyed.

So, take note that very shortly, even in the face of the peace the world is clamouring for, the Lord shall appear and all those that refuse to give heed to the signs and come to God for repentance shall not have the opportunity to do so at His coming. Let it be known to you, who are children of God, that you should not be carried away by the peace initiatives going on everywhere in the world. We must not walk like those without knowledge.

Rather, we should all be ready and watchful because that day is at hand, for the signs from heaven are here with us to confirm. This is a warning to all believers to take heed of themselves that they may not be carried away by the fantasies of the world and become corrupted.

Mal.4: 1 says, “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.” God has foretold us what shall be the signs of the time.

The wars all over the world are a sign of the end time and we should, therefore, hasten to prepare for the coming of the Lord that will bring everlasting peace. Those that do wickedly and are blind to these obvious signs must understand that the sign is the last warning to mankind, which failure to be heeded, will bring sudden destruction.

So, if you are reading this today, you have the opportunity to escape and amend your ways before the trumpet sounds.
