Gal. 2:20 says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”

Beloved, anybody who is not living for Christ is without doubt living for Satan. Those who do not yet know the life they are living for, do not know the worth of their lives because no matter what purpose you are living for, if it is not for Christ, you have no life. Whether you are living in the east, west, south or north, as long as your life is not depending on the finished work of grace brought to us by our Lord Jesus Christ, you are not living for Christ. If you are in this world and you are not in Christ, then you are in crises because the purpose of your creation will be appreciated in Him than in any other, for you cannot triumph successfully in this world except by grace. So, living for Christ is putting aside the old life of sin and merging your new life in righteousness with Christ. By this, you will become insensitive to the world and ambition as means of justification, and the love of money, pride and pomp of life and hateful passions. These negative principles shall lose their power over you and cease to influence you.

John 15:4-5 says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

Jesus Christ is the original source of life and any life not attached to Him cannot be sustained. All spiritual fruitfulness has been ascribed to the mutual living with Christ. It is when we are united to Him, that strength flows from Him to us, and thus, we receive help, as we need. If you are in Christ you are empowered to actualise your life dream, because He is the tree of life, whereas when you are not in Him your life is in disarray. God can do without man, but man cannot do without God, for a branch to live, thrive, and bring forth fruit, it must not be separated from that tree from which it not only derives its juices, but its very existence also.

Likewise, as many that are claiming to be Christians must endeavour to live for Christ, so that the purpose for which Jesus Christ came into this world would be fulfilled in their lives, and they would not only be joyful in this world, but also make heaven. So, if you are a Christian, then you must undertake to live your life in Christ and for Christ. When anyone is living for Christ, he must be after the will of God in all things and do what pleases Him. Such a person should always endeavour to be holy within and without as to please the Master, and must follow after the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 4:31-34 says, “In the meanwhile his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore, said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

If any man is living for Christ, he must do the will of God and will always be mindful of pleasing God first and not self or what pleases the people of the world. In the response of Jesus to His disciples, He made them understood that the great design of His life was to do the will of God. He came to that place weary and thirsty, and probably very hungry but yet an opportunity of doing good presented itself, and He forgo hunger, and found joy in seeking to save a soul. Winning souls is what we ought to do, if we live for Christ.
