Mt 9:27-29 “And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.”

These blind men followed Christ about and were crying, but it wasn’t crying they needed for that would not bring down the curative power to heal them. What was needed was their faith. If they liked, they could cry throughout the week, until tears dried from their eyes, yet there would be no cure, until what was required is produced and that’s faith. Jesus demanded from these blind men an expression of faith and they wasted no time to supply that demand and with an exclamation they responded ‘Yea Lord’, which was to say they believed’. And their unwavering belief in what Jesus could do interruptedly connected God’s mercy and grace that brought about their healing. Those that cry without exercising their faith while in the presence of God, will cry amiss.

Of course, those who look up to Jesus Christ for healing, salvation and deliverance shall not be dealt with according to their cries, fancies, profession, or how long they have been in the house of God, but according to their faith. If you are a pastor, an evangelist, chorister, an usher or worker in the house of God, but does not believe in the efficacy of God’s healing power, or do not have faith in what God can do, then hardly will you be a beneficiary of the wonder working power of God. That is more reason first comers receive healing, while old members who have become familiar with God’s Word remain in expectation. Most of the time, God may want to measure the level of our familiarity with His word and thus delay our miracle. But when God concealed our miracles, it is for us to demonstrate our belief in His ability to restore us.

I pray you will believe and your miracle will locate you and you shall be blessed. All those who believed in the efficacy of God’s power are rejoicing and testifying. On the other hand, all those who did not believe have their ugly tales to tell. Abraham believed and God recorded it as righteousness. Sarah believed and received strength to conceive. By faith, Noah and family were saved. By faith, Hannah became a mother. But in the case of Namaan, his doubt nearly caused him his life. He was a man of war with affliction of leprosy and was advised on what to do to have the leprosy cured. He was asked to meet the prophet of God in Israel. But Namaan, being a proud man, as most people are today, on getting to Israel and doubting the reality of the solution proffered by the prophet, stood outside and expected the prophet of God to come to him. To his dismay, words were sent to him from Elisha to go dip himself seven times in the Jordan River. But his pomposity and doubt almost destroyed him, if not for his servant that convinced him to humble himself and obey the prophet’s instruction and take the bath in the river as directed. And he became healed of leprosy, as soon as he heeded the counsel of the man of God.

2 Kings 5:1-5,9-14 says, “Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper. And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife. And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! For he would recover him of his leprosy. And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel. And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment. So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? How much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”

Are you privileged to read this message? Make sure that you have implicit faith in God, so that you can receive from Him. Besides, remember that God answers not sinners. God will not answer you, if you are still into fighting, quarreling, backbiting, stealing, robbery, kidnapping, murder, abortion, lying, fornication, adultery, rape, defilement, smoking, charm making, occultism, and fraud. But if you want God’s favour for your deliverance, you must repent and surrender to Jesus and believe, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

The Wonderful Work Of God
How I Was Delivered From 33 Years Demonic Bondage Of Mermaid Spirit – Sis Gift
MY name is Sister Gift Nimo, a Ghanaian from Kumasi, the capital city of Ashanti Region. I reside in Nigeria. I want to share the testimony of how God delivered me from the cruel hand of mermaid spirit for 33 years.

My life started on a wrong foundation. At birth, my father initiated me into worship of a mermaid spirit. As I grew up, I got to understand that the whole thing was idolatry. Hence, I withdrew from such worship. But the consequence of that decision was better heard than imagined, as I was afflicted and tormented spiritually and physically. Sometimes, the spirit would appear physically and forcefully took me to the river and torment me for seven days or more. And each time I came out from the river, I would feel excruciating pain all over my body. While seeking deliverance, I went to several pastors in Kumasi and beyond, to no avail.

Whenever deliverance was being conducted on me, and it seemed I was about to be delivered, the spirit would suddenly appear and carry me into the river for another round of torment. Somehow, I heard that some pastors in Nigeria could be of help. So, I discussed it with my brother, who suggested that we should go to Nigeria for a trial. On arrival to Nigeria, many pastors claimed they could deliver me. Some of them gave condition that I must follow them to church. I followed some of them, while others conducted the deliverance at home, yet to no avail. I attended more than 55 churches, both in Ghana and Nigeria for deliverance after which the spirit would reappear. Later, I resorted to other means of deliverance.

There was a time some Alfas claimed they could deliver me. In the process of trying to deliver me, two of them died and one ran away. At this juncture, I decided I would not go anywhere again for deliverance nor worship mermaid spirit.

In June this year, I was passing through somewhere and I heard a man preaching. I went to him and told him that, although I did not believe in any church again, but I would not want my children to suffer what I suffered. I pleaded with him to allow my children to be attending his church, and he agreed.

Before then, something came on me like madness, and I was carried back to Kumasi and taken to that mermaid shrine in the river. There, the mermaid told me that if I didn’t worship him, he would make me mad. So, since I couldn’t find deliverance, I accepted to worship the mermaid. At that point, I was given three pots. One of the pots was for those searching for fruit of the womb or wanting to be delivered, while one was for business breakthrough, and the third was the one that would make me to enter water, then turn to fish.

So, after speaking to that Pastor about my children and he agreed, every Sunday, I would dress them up for church. After they had left, I would turn to fish and enter water. At times, the Pastor would come and preach to me. Any time I listened to him, the mermaid spirits would appear and flog me. After the flogging, I would not be myself for about three days. That made me not to allow the Pastor and his wife to preach to me again, but my children were going to his church.

Now, there was this man called Bro. Okoro, who came to take some children to church. I approached him and asked which church he attends, and he said Chosen. As we were talking, he asked why I couldn’t follow them to Chosen. I told him I didn’t believe that churches had power to deliver again, that I know one Pastor Ibeh and whenever he preached to me, the spirits would come and beat me up. I narrated my experience to him. But he told me I should try the God of Chosen. After much persuasion, I summoned courage and invited him to my house and he came with his branch pastor. Usually, whenever Pastor Ibeh came, he would stay outside, but when Bro Okoro and his Pastor came, they entered my parlour and the pastor sat exactly in the place the marine spirits used to sit. I was surprised and afraid of what might ensue. Then, he started preaching, and I was listening and enjoying the sermon because I love the things of God, but still in apprehension.

After Bro Okoro and his Pastor left, the spirits appeared again and stood outside for a while and later entered and beat me more than ever before, so much so that I couldn’t stand up. Then, my son came, and brought a Chosen apron and gave me to wear, and I reluctantly wore the apron. Then he said, ‘Mummy, declare yourself a Chosen, three times.’ I did that and he prayed for me. Lo and behold! All the evil marks on my body and the pain disappeared and I became strong again and stood up. From that day, I began to wear the apron everywhere in my house. Later, the Pastor invited me to a crusade in Lagos titled: “The Wonder Working God.’ At that crusade, while the General Pastor was ministering deliverance prayer, he prophetically commanded every power holding his people to be consumed by fire. Before I knew it, I found myself on the ground and when I regained consciousness, I discovered that all the spiritual powers given to me had disappeared. Immediately after the service that day, I received a call from home that the three pots given to me to use in worshipping mermaid spirit, fell down and broke simultaneously. And thirty minutes after, I got another call from my father in Ghana that the pots and all the paraphernalia of worship of the mermaid spirit had burnt to ashes.

When we got home, with the help of Bro Okoro and other brethren, I showed them the remaining instruments of worship to mermaid spirit and they burnt them. When my father heard what happened, he said he would search for the church and worship with them, and if he did not find it, he would come to Nigeria and attend The Lord’s Chosen church.

It is important to note that in my village in Ghana, I was the one that used to carry the instrument (Calabash) that heralds the commencement of the mermaid festival. Thus, I anticipated serious attack, if I didn’t do something more to sever all means of communication with the mermaid, especially when the festival was approaching. Consequently, I began a two-week fasting and praying. Normally, if it was time for the festival and you refused to join them, they would kill the person, and I knew they might try that on me. So, I wore the apron and went on mountain. When it was close to the time of the festival, three of the agents appeared to me, where I was doing the prayer and asked whether I thought I could escape their judgment that the time had come. I rebuked them and shouted thrice that I am a Chosen and asked the mermaid agents who they were. When I shouted, they started trembling, and I shouted again ‘where is the God of my Pastor’s power?’ Immediately that exclamation was made, all of them fell down and disappeared, only to reappear with their second-in-command. When that one showed up, I showed her the apron and she began to close her eye and disappeared. And that was the end of it all, as I didn’t see them again till date.
