He is coming very soon – Part 2

Matt. 24:1 “And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him, the buildings of the temple.”
1Cor. 15:51-52 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,”

All believers in the body of Christ are expected to be diligent in their dealings with the world in order not to allow the paraphernalia of the world beclouds their sense of discerning the coming very soon of our Lord Jesus Christ. We must understand that we are the envy of the devil and as such, he will do everything to make us like what we hate vis-à-vis the things of the world. We have tormented him and his kingdom terribly and thus, he is very angry with us. If he happens to meet in hellfire any person who supported his woes on earth, he will multiply the suffering of that person and that is why we should not allow any other thing to take preeminence in our life or hinder us from receiving a good reward at His coming.

Rev. 22:12 says, “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

Beloved, God is not a deceiver or liar, whatsoever He says He will do, that He will do. He has affirmed in many verses of the Scripture that He is coming soon, and so every wise man or believer should take cognisance of this statement and prepare himself for His coming.

Matt. 25: 1-12 states, “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

Two groups of guests were invited to a marriage feast. One of the groups that were wise prepared themselves, made provision for the uncertainty of the coming of the bridegroom, including if he delayed longer than expected. But the other group that was not wise accepted the invitation, but never cared to make provision for eventuality. The attitude of those who were wise in the above narrative refers to those who were prepared for the coming of the host, while the conduct of the foolish refers to those who professed to love the coming of the Host, but not prepared to meet Him. They made no provision for the delay or uncertainty of the coming of the Host. This attitude of the foolish is what is prevailing in the life of many people in the world today. They move around, buy, sell and engage in all manner of conversation without taking into consideration that there is someone Who is the Lord of Host and Who is coming soon to demand from everybody the account of his/her stewardship.

Matt. 25: 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Beloved, the Messiah is coming again and very soon and even if His coming delayed further, still be watchful for you know not when He will come. Everyone who professes Christ must adhere to this admonition and stay away from anything that will hinder him from meeting His coming. They who are Christians should be ever watchful, while they who are not should lose no time to be ready; for in such an hour, as they think not the Son of man shall come.
