God: His Bad Boys And Girls

Psalm 147:2 “The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: He GATHERETH TOGETHER THE OUTCASTS OF ISRAEL”. 

Isaiah 56:8 “The LORD God which GATHERETH THE OUTCASTS OF ISRAEL SAITH, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him”. 

THE God of the Bible, the God and Father of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, is a Great Transformer. One Man of God even calls Him a “GREAT GARBAGE COLLECTOR”. He seems to gather the Garbage in our lives for visible transformation. It is amazing how God picks outcasts, harlots, prostitutes, liars, adulterers, murderers, etc, and transforms their lives. It is a deliberate policy of God to choose the base things of this world to nullify the things that are mighty. 1 Corinthians 1: 26-28 “ For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath CHOSEN THE FOOLISH THINGS of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And BASE THINGS OF THE WORLD, AND THINGS WHICH ARE DESPISED, hath GOD CHOSEN, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are”. Going through Biblical history, it is quite clear that God has a list of BAD BOYS AND GIRLS. God gathers outcasts to Himself. Most of the Heroes of Faith in Hebrews Chapter 11 were not flawless. They displayed conspicuously – chronic human frailty. If we are to use human parameters, some of these people would never have been recipients of God’s Grace. God employs willing ordinary human beings to do His extraordinary works. Apostle Paul gives his Biodata and Resume in Ephesians 3:8 “Unto me, WHO AM LESS THAN THE LEAST OF ALL SAINTS, is this GRACE GIVEN, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ”. He sees himself as less than the least of all the saints of God yet the Grace of God was given to him. God does not call those with intimidating credentials. He qualifies the unqualified once they are called by Him. From recent study, we found that most of the people God healed in the New Testament were outcasts, sinners, harlots, etc. There is no record that any Pharisee got healed because they walked in sanctimonious religious piety without faith in Christ Jesus. It is amazing to note those who made the list of the genealogy of Jesus – David, Rahab, Uriah’s Wife, Ruth, etc. When we turn our lives over to God, Jehovah God brings something beautiful out of them. It does not matter whether we are the notorious sinner or Area boy or girl. It does not matter how much sin we have committed in the past, the GARBAGE COLLECTOR will SURELY transform our lives when we allow Him. Are you really a Bad Boy or Girl? Are you an Area Father or Mother? God is waiting to collect the garbage in your life. God has solved the sin problem on the Cross. Give JESUS your sins – there is forgiveness and cleansing. God will show you Mercy. Romans 9:15-16 “For He saith to Moses, I will HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I WILL HAVE MERCY, and I will have COMPASSION ON WHOM I WILL HAVE COMPASSION. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, BUT OF GOD THAT SHEWETH MERCY”. 

PRAYER: Father God, I come to You today with all the garbage in my life. I acknowledge that I have been a Bad Boy/Girl. LORD, have mercy upon me. I believe in the Holy Sacrifice of JESUS on the Cross. I receive cleansing through the BLOOD of JESUS. I make JESUS the LORD of my life. I belong to God forever. Amen.
