Beloved, our God is a wonder working God. He was from eternity and will be to eternity, therefore, with Him, there is no deficiency, no decay. He has power to bring about changes in every situation and circumstance and that power is never exhausted. He has on many occasions visited us with His wondrous and marvellous works and wrought miracles in our midst, of which many of us are beneficiaries. And if you have not tested the goodness of God, or you want to experience more of His goodness, I want to let you know that another opportunity is available to you, as our God, the WONDER WORKING GOD, is set to visit us again this weekend.

Our Father in heaven wants to use the occasion to season His mercy with blessing. Thus, it is time to bid everything that constituted sorrow in our lives bye-bye, for after this visitation, we will see them no more. I don’t know what is troubling you, but whatever that may be, it cannot stand the Sovereign God, the God that does all things, the WONDER WORKING GOD, with whom there is no impossibility or rivalry.

Exodus 19: 10-11 says, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, 11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.”

In the days of Moses, whenever God proposed to visit the Children of Israel, He must direct Moses to sanctify them to conform to His nature of holiness. This is because without holiness, no eye shall see the Lord. Moses, accordingly, would cause them to cleanse and prepare themselves. The outward washing of clothes was a sign of the inward cleansing of the heart from sin, which God required of every one.

During those Bible days, two things particularly were prescribed as instances of their preparation. First, in token of cleansing of themselves from all sinful pollutions, they must wash their clothes. Not that God regards their clothes, but while they were washing their clothes, He would have them think of washing their souls by repentance. It behooves us to appear in clean clothes, when we wait upon great men; so clean hearts are required when preparing for the coming of our God. Secondly, in token of their devoting themselves entirely to spiritual exercises like evangelism, fasting and prayers upon this occasion, they must abstain even from lawful enjoyments during these three days, and not even come at their wives. In so doing, the Lord visited as He promised and blessed them.

This we ought to do, now that God has remembered us and has promised to visit and give us answer to our prayers. For we are very sure His visit will change our lives and make us better, because when He comes into a situation, there is always a solution.

Lev. 19:2 says, “Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.”Moses was commanded by God to let the people He has called and made special people to be on familiar terms with His nature and ensure they conform to that nature. He made Moses understand that He is devoid of all pollution, idolatry and superstition both of soul and body. Thus, He required all that will come to Him to conform to His nature. Moses made known God’s statutes to the entire congregation, and proclaimed such through the camp. It is required that Israel should be a holy people, because the God, Who called them, is holy. Their distinction from all other people was intended to teach them a real separation from the world and the flesh, and an entire devotedness to God.

So, if you want to be among those that will benefit from this visitation of the WONDER WORKING GOD, you must ensure you conform to His requirement of holiness and righteousness.
