Prophet Sunday O. Nwabeke

What are the impossible situations you are facing today? I have good news for you my brothers and sisters. You don’t have to panic. You don’t have to give up. You don’t have to close your eyes to ignore the problem and pretend that they do not exist.

Facing The Impossible
What are the impossible situations that you are facing today? I have good news for you my friend: You don’t have to panic! You don’t have to give up! You don’t have to close your eyes to ignore the problem and pretend that they do not exist!

Exo 14:9 So the Egyptians pursued them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and overtook them camping by the sea beside Pi Hahiroth, before Baal Zephon.

Exo 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So, they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD.

Exo 14:11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?

Exo 14:12 “Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”

Exo 14:13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
Exo 14:14 “The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

On the above reading from the scripture, we found the people of God facing an impossible situation. At their back were the enemies marching to take them. On their left and right were tower of rocks and desert, while in their front is the Red Sea. They are literally surrounded by big problems and they have little time to think and find the solution for their escape.

Human Expert may give some suggestions:
• Lift the surrender banner before the enemy could kill all of them
• Take chances by quickly mobilising the people to fight back at the enemy
• Delay their capture by hiding in the rocks or running in the desert.
However, God, through His prophet Moses, gave the threefold solution and it is completely different from the human standpoint.

Moses speaks the word of God to the people:
Exo 14:13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.”
Exo 14:14 “The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

God’s Threefold Formula To Face The Impossible:
• Do Not Be Afraid – (No need to surrender)
• Stand Still – (No need to fight back)
• See The Salvation Of The Lord (No need to hide)
We all know that it is not an easy thing to relax in the face of danger. It seems not practical to do nothing in time of distress or expect that something good is going to happen, when all what you can see is darkness everywhere.

My brothers and sisters
• You cannot overcome your fear unless you bring the problem to God in PRAYER.
• You cannot stand still and hold your peace unless you learn to trust everything on the POWER OF GOD.
• You cannot visualise the salvation of the Lord unless you immerse yourself in PRAISE AND WORSHIP. These are the 3 important things; the secret so you can do what Moses has commanded to God’s people. Yes, you need these three important weapons to overcome the impossible.
