Dangers of premature rest

Memory Verse: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Introduction
Our God is a God of order. Let everything be done decently and in order, 1 Cor. 14:40.There is time for everything and He will make everything beautiful in His time, Ecclesiastes 3:11. May He grant us the wisdom and grace to understand the times and seasons of life, number our days and apply our hearts to wisdom, Psalm 90; 12, Daniel 2; 21
Understanding The Seasons
As believers, we are sojourners on earth and we shall give account of our pilgrimage. God has a plan for all. To make the best of our time here we:
• Must understand the times and seasons. There is time for everything – a time to work and a time to rest, Eccl. 3:1-8, 1 Chron.12: 32.
• Must work with the time. To do this, we must have a time based goal and vision, Hab. 2:2; John 9:4. And be time sensitive and conscious.
• Must apply our hearts to wisdom and set up vibrant family and personal altars, Luke 3:16.

Rest Time
Jesus said, “I must work the work of Him that sent me, while it is day, the night cometh, when no man can work”, John. 9:4. It is not time to rest yet. The king’s business requires haste, 1 Sam.21: 8. Work now, Ps.119: 60; Ex.33: 14-15; Ecc. 12:1. We must not rest or give up in praying, fasting, witnessing, doing good, giving, forgiving, interceding, praising, worshipping, repenting, spending and being spent for the Lord, hoping, expecting, loving, working and doing good. It is dangerous to rest or give up in the battlefront of life, 1 Pet.5: 8; Matt.13: 25; Lk.10: 19; Acts 13:10. God has all the solutions. He is beautiful for all situations – Ps.48: 1- 2.

Conclusion
God, the maker of Heaven and earth worked for six days and rested on the seventh day.
