Many believers are defeated today because they lack the knowledge of the new covenant; the covenant grace and all the benefits that Jesus has purchased for us on the cross.

Many believers are defeated today because they lack the knowledge of the new covenant; the covenant grace and all the benefits that Jesus has purchased for us on the cross.

Psalm 103:1-5 talks about these benefits:
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Beloved, the heart of God is that we make use of all these benefits Jesus purchased for us with His blood! God wants to see us enjoy every of these benefits. Blessings and favour, forgiveness of sin, sound health, divine protection, good things and renewal of your youth are all yours. These and all the precious gifts from the Lord bring unspeakable joy to Him, when He sees them manifesting in our lives. But ignorance of all these benefits robs you of enjoying them.

What we need today are not more laws to govern believers, but revelation of Jesus and everything He has done for us. In Hosea 4:6, God lamented, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”  We are now under the new covenant of grace through Jesus finished work (Hebrews 8:1-13).

God’s word tells us in clear terms that the covenant of Moses is now obsolete in terms of the manifestation in Christ Jesus but the truth they teach of things to come remains relevant. It is no longer, however, relevant for the new covenant believer who is in Christ today. God Himself in verse 7 says, “If that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.”
He knew that no man could be made righteous by the law or works. Only the blood of His Son would be able to justify and make us righteous in Christ.

Through the years, the Israelites were under the law and not a single person was made righteous by the law. Even best of them failed; the Bible describes David as a man after God’s own heart, but he failed. Under the law, we have no hope. Thank God that under the new covenant of Grace, even the worst of us can call upon the name of Jesus and receive Him as our Lord and Saviour. Under the law, even the best failed but. Under the covenant of grace, even the worst can be saved and do exploit.

Hear Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1,
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord affirms the availability of His Grace even more in our weakness.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9.
Receive grace to perform, grace to complete, grace to harvest and grace to enjoy your portion of harvest. You will not die on the road, you will fulfill destiny and you will finish well. Every appointment with death in this second half of this year is cancelled in Jesus name.
