Adeniran urges Christians to shun sin

The District Superintendent, West and Central Africa, Apostolic Faith Church, Rev. Bayo Adeniran has called on Nigerians to shun sin in order to benefit from Christ’s sacrificial death and new beginning in the country, as well as in individual’s life.

At the church’s 2018 Easter Concert themed: “The Gains of Calvary,” which held in Lagos, Adeniran said sin is a reproach that promotes selfish life, and gives birth to corruption.

He said: “Sin is hurtful and selfish, if not, why should one man steal N200 billion? That is selfishness, inconsideration and lack of compassion for others. Jesus came to win us into the life of compassion for others, to be considerate and loving and in good relationship with others.

“This is why Easter does not only celebrate the deliverance of man and his soul from eternal hell, but also offers hope with Jesus in eternity.

“Calvary offers hope, which is not limited to individuals, but to Nigeria as a nation, when everyone turns to God for repentance.”

Adeniran was optimistic that God would heal the nation, as well as, Nigerians, who turn their hearts to Him, as He instituted peace at Calvary.
