The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has enjoined Christians to see their freedom through Jesus Christ as a sacrifice and free themselves from the bondage of the devil.

In his sermon during the 2017 Holy Ghost Congress with the theme: “Songs of Victory,” Adeboye explained that Christ has secured total freedom for all believers, but it is the enemy that would not want believers to enjoy that freedom. According to the man of God, “as long as one is a believer, washed in the blood of Jesus after he or she has confessed and forsaken his/her sins and have turned away from the evil practices of the past, he is a new creature and his/her freedom is full.

“Implication of freedom from bondage is that if your hands are free, restoration becomes easy and lost glory is restored. However, when legs are free, promotion becomes accelerated.

“Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world,” he assured.

Adeboye added that Christians should rejoice because Jesus Christ was made a curse for believers and therefore can easily change curse to blessing, which implies that anyone cursing a child of God is wasting his or her time because whosoever has been blessed of God is blessed and no curse would have power over him or her.

The man of God added that God has power to cancel evil covenant, which has kept many people in bondage.

He charged believers to be conscious of their total freedom and celebrate it or else, the enemy would take advantage of their ignorance and continue to keep them in bondage.

“This is another Holy Ghost Congress and based on our past experiences at the previous Congresses, we know that whenever God gives the theme, the matter is settled.

“It does not matter, what you have gone through or going through right now, God is about to give you songs of victory,” he assured.
