Deuteronomy 1 vs 6 says, “You have dwelt on this mountain long enough.”

The United Evangelical Church (founded as Qua Iboe Church), Lagos Township, Superintendency 2019 Annual Convention with the theme: “Glorious Supernatural Advancement: Jacob’s Experience”, which started on November 29, 2019 will end today (December 1, 2019).

The convention, a spiritual refreshment for members, also witnessed the ordination of 57 Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses in the Lagos Township Superintendency.

Chairman of the Conference, Rev. Samuel U. Ebukiba (The Finger Of God), who spoke on the theme: God wants His people to experience “Glorious Supernatural Advancement,” quoted Deuteronomy 1 vs. 6 and told his audience that it was time to advance. He gave the example of Jacob in the Bible, as one of those who really experienced Glorious Supernatural Advancement.

He also highlighted some of his secrets as follows:

• His Father’s Prayers
Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him……… May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiple you, that you may be an assembly of people. And give you the blessing of Abraham. To you and your descendants with you. That you may inherit the land, which you are a stranger, which God gave to Abraham (Gen. 28:1, 3,4). Though Jacob had left his father’s house to a foreign land, the father’s prayers were with him, Be a praying parent for your children.

• God’s Presence
Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haram. So, he came to a certain place and stayed there all night because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head and lay down in that place to sleep. Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth and its top reached to heaven and there, the angels of God we’re ascending and descending on it (Gen 28:10-12). Your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and to the south; and in you and your seed all the families of the earth shall blessed. Behold I am with you and will keep you where ever you go and will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you untill I have done what I have spoken to you (Gen. 28:13-15). God’s promises are tested, trusted, and very reliable. God is the true promise keeper.

Numbers 23:19 records that “God is not a man that He should lie or a son of man that he should change His mind. Has He said and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not fulfil it?

Be rest assured that whatever that God says concerning you must come to pass.

• Jacob’s Perseverance
And Laban said to him “please stay; If I have found favour in your eyes for I have learned by experience the Lord has blessed me for your sake. Then he said name me your wages and I will give it. So Jacob said to him “you know how I have served you and how your livestock has been with me. For what you had before I came was little and it has increased to a great amount. The Lord has blessed you since my coming. And now what shall I also provide for my own house? Gen 30:27-30.

Jacob decided to stay and serve Laban, until when God asked him to leave.

Where you are serving, serve well and be faithful for God is watching.

• God’s Provision
Thus, the man became exceedingly prosperous, and had large flocks, and female and male servants and camels and donkeys. Gen. 30:43

It was God who made Jacob, a man who left his father’s house with nothing to become great. He indeed experienced Glorious Supernatural Advancement.
*  John 3:27 records that “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given to him from heaven.”
* The same God who helped Jacob’s grandfather (Abraham) and the father (Isaac) to become great also helped Jacob.
*  Gen. 24:34-35 “so he said I am Abraham’s servant. The Lord has blessed my master greatly and he has become great…
* Gen. 26:12-14 “then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundred fold and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper and continued prospering, until he became very prosperous for he had possession… So, the Philistines envied him.

God will surely bless you to become a blessing to many. I pray that you experience Glorious Supernatural Advancement in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

From The Superintendent’s Desk, Rev. Charles C. Nwogwugwu, said: “I want to thank the chairman of the conference. Rev. S. U. Ebukiba (JP), for honouring our invitation to be our Guest at this convention and for adding to the work force of the Superintendency by ordaining 15 Elders; 25 Deacons and 17 Deaconess, respectively. His presence really added colour to our programme, and many lives were touched during his ministration. God will continue to use him to take our church to higher heights in Jesus name. Amen.”

To the newly ordained officers, I pray that they will not be added problems to the church but problem-solvers and burden-bearers, as God give them the Grace.

Remain Blessed.
