The Bishop of the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi, has urged his Diocese members to prayerfully and earnestly comply with the federal and state governments’ directives on COVID-19 protocols by wearing facemask at every gathering, especially during church services.

Speaking through his Clerical Assistant, Venerable Dr. Nelson Ifeanyichukwu Iluno, the Bishop said: “Wear your facemask in the Church, frequently, wash your hands with soap under running water and apply hand sanitisers.”

He urged them to observe instructions, protocols and other COVID-19 measures put in place to avoid spread of the pandemic.

“Prevention is better than cure. Protecting lives is a collective role. This is the time to absolutely trust God for divine protection and healing, yet obeying the good laws of the land. The clergy should ensure full compliance to these protocols,” he said.
