State Chairman, Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter, Senior Supt. Apostle Joseph Adagba has implored church leaders to contribute effectively to nation building through quality representation of the Church.

He lamented that some church leaders only parade themselves in government circles, with no proof to show that they are standing for God in righteousness. He called on such so-called men of God to give way for true Christians to contribute their quota in nation building.

Speaking at the sixth General Conference and Thanksgiving of Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter, themed: “Godly in Christ,” Adagba urged the Church to generally focus on evangelism, with a view to winning more souls into God’s Kingdom.

He also admonished political officeholders to do their work in the fear of God and without hypocrisy, saying any leader that indulges in hypocritical attitude would not be pleasing to God.

He expressed satisfaction at this year’s annual general meeting, which according to him, was better than last year’s event and prayed it would be better next year.

The Chairman, Planning Committee, Apostle Femi Akinpelu, thanked members for giving him the support to carry out his assignment. Among those that received award were Bishop Oluwademilade Apata and Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola.
