Rector calls for construction of police post in Bida Poly

Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Dr. Abubakar Dzukogi, has appealed to the Nigeria Police Force to have a police post within the campus as a way of ensuring security of lives and properties in the school.

Dr. Dzukogi made the appeal when the new Niger State Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu, visited the institution. The Rector said with the growing student population at approximately 15, 000, there is need for police presence the school.

“We have cases of cultism once a while, burglary and phone snatching. Our security unit cannot do this work alone without the assistance of the police, “ he said.Dzukogi disclosed that the school authority has earmarked some plots of land for the project.
