Theres’s is absolutely no honour in poverty.

There was a little city, and few men within it, and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man (Ecclesiastics 9:14-15)

Lack of money can steal your voice. This poor man, despite his wisdom in saving the city, was not acknowledged.

He grew spiritually, mentally, probably emotionally, but not financially. Wealth is governed by principles and failure to abide by these principles will result in living a life of management and survival.

The basis for prosperity started with a seed.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease (Gen 8:22)

For there to be harvest time, there must be seed time. In other words, everybody has a seed to plant. He gives bread to the eater and seed to the sower. Prosperity will not only answer to just having a seed but using, trading and exchanging your seed for harvest (Get my book; your seed, your future).
Financial Intelligence

The first step to a financial increase is to locate your seed. What do you have in your hand? What gift and talent come naturally to you? What job can you do, what career do you desire, or what business do you want to do? That is the very beginning.

Then sow your seed, use it, trade with it, and exchange it. A seed that is not used remains the same. The size is immaterial, it may be small, don’t despise it. Don’t despise the days of small beginning. You don’t start the journey of life at the top of the ladder. You climb up.

Water the seed. Paul planted, Apollos watered, and God gave the increase. You water your seed by focus. Don’t lose focus, keep at it and be determined. Make sure you weed it to get rid of enemies that come to plant weed amidst the wheat. Watch the people that come around you.

There are men that don’t want you to prosper and there are some that don’t want you to be better than them. You must guard your produce such that enemies of progress will not succeed. Life is not a game of chance, not all that glitters is gold.

There are also enemies that wait until harvest time before they attack; like in the case of the Midianites and Gideon. Remember, in every harvest the seed must be preserved for continuity. It is an error to eat your produce with the seed.

The seed of your harvest can be your tithe; a tenth of your income in whichever dimension. When you eat it, it shuts the door against the devourer.

Spending riotously without considering the need to have, as compared to ordinary desires to impress, or to have a feeling of belonging, or covetousness. To achieve success, you must learn financial intelligence. It is not everything that the flesh desires that it should receive. You must consciously deny yourself some pleasantries in order to grow. It is wise to give room for delayed gratification. A man that chooses to eat everything today may suffer emptiness tomorrow.

Recently, I hosted Shola Adesakin, an accountant par excellence. She gave some wisdom tips on making money that blew my mind. There are three M’s that help a man increase his financial capacity.
• Make money
• Manage money
• Multiply money
