The founder and Presiding Bishop of Christ Life Church worldwide, Francis Wale Oke is 63 years old, today. Oke, who is also the President of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries and Chancellor of the Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan, Oyo State, was born on Saturday, September 8, 1956, in Kasumu village, Ibadan.

As a University of Lagos Engineering graduate, Oke, who is currently the National Deputy President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), answered the call of God in December 1975. He was divinely raised and anointed by God for mass evangelism, church planting and raising of believers across the world. He founded the Sword of the Spirit of Ministries, Ibadan and stepped into full-time Ministry on May 17, 1982, after the completion of his university education.

The renowned cleric hosts a daily broadcast of ‘Voice of the Lord’ on some radio and television stations in Nigeria. Wale Oke has not only held mass crusades across Nigeria and many African nations, but he has also equally preached the gospel of Christ in other parts of the world such as Europe, Asia, North America, Russia, and Eastern Europe, among others.
 
Married to Rev. (Dr.) Victoria Tokunbo Oke and blessed with two children, Dorcas and Isaac. Bishop Wale Oke, who has been hosting yearly Holy Ghost Convention since 1983, has authored many bestselling books such as Alone with God, Walking in God’s Covenant, the Precious Blood of Jesus, Stepping into Greatness and Weapons of our Warfare, among others. 
 
Aside from being the President of the International Bible College of Ministries and Seminary (IBCOMS), he is also the Chairman of His Kingdom House Publishers, all based in Ibadan.
 
For humanitarian purposes, the Bishop in 2003 in concert with his wife, established Dorcas Oke Hope Alive Initiative (DOHAL), a humanitarian and non-governmental organisation geared towards reaching out to the youth and children of Africa with health issues, humanitarian and poverty-related concerns in memory of their late daughter, Dorcas.
