246 UNILORIN Students Receive Scholarship Award

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has awarded scholarship to 246 of its students across all faculties for their brilliant academic performances in 2014/2015 Academic session.

According sources from the school the recipients include six students from the Faculty of Clinical Science, 12 form the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts (32), Faculty of Basic Medical Science (14), Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences (16), Faculty of Education (37) while 36 students are from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

Others are a student from the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, six from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 13 students from the Faculty of Law, 16 from the Faculty of Life Sciences, 12 from the Faculty of Management Sciences, 23 from the Faculty of Physical Sciences, 20 from the Faculty of Social Sciences, and two from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

The school’s yearly report quoted the Vice-chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, as saying that the scholarship award was basically to reward hard work and to encourage other students to strive to attain great height.”

Prof. Ambali commended the University scholars and advised other students to attach seriousness to their studies for them to be recipients of the award in the 2015/2016 academic session.
