Yellow House wins Deeper Life Abuja School’s inter-house competition

Yellow House at the weekend recorded 27 points to beat four other houses at the 2018 annual inter-house sports competition organised by Deeper Life High School, Abuja Campus.

The School’s Principal, Mr. Francis Ali, who announced the results, gave the details as follows: Blue and Red Houses came second and third with 24 and 23 points respectively, while Green House came 3rd in March past.

He noted that sports as an essential part of the school’s co-curricular activities provides for physical wellbeing of the students, saying, this is in line with National Policy on Education.

Ali said reiterated that it is only in sports that Nigerians speak with one voice, adding, “We would ensure that athletic activities are organised in the school.”

Earlier, chairman of the occasion, AIG Julius Ishola (Rtd), who told The Guardian that there was great improvement when compared to last year’s outing, praised the school authorities for a good job.

Also speaking at the event, Chairman, School Management Committee, Emeka Nwagba promised to purchase more sporting equipment so that students could train to excel in future competitions within and outside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
