OWNER Graham Wylie is excited to see Yorkhill in action again over the Christmas period.

Willie Mullins’ dual bumper winner created a strong impression on his hurdling debut at Punchestown earlier this month, winning by eight and a half lengths and jumping well in the process.

holds an entry in the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown on December 27, and is also engaged in the Lawlor’s Hotel Novice Hurdle at Naas on January 3.

Wylie told At The Races: “I like Yorkhill. He’s a favourite of mine.

“He won a bumper at Punchestown up against some very good horses and he won it quite easily.

“Then he came out and really impressed me in his first novice hurdle, and since then he’s been overshadowed by Bellshill and Min.

“I’d like to see him out again and I think Willie’s planning to maybe run him over Christmas in a two-mile race at Leopardstown, just to see if he is a two-mile horse as an experiment.

“If he goes well there we might go down that route with him. If not, we’ll probably step him up in trip.

“I like him a lot.”
