Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club (MFM FC) striker, Stephen Odey, has assuredfans of the club should expect victory in today’s encounter against Plateau United.

The Olukoya boys are third on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table with 21 points, while their opponents with 25 points are currently on top of the log in the Match Day 14 game scheduled for Agege Stadium.

Odey, who is the highest goal scorer of the NPFL with eight goals, vowed to continue his scoring form in order to achieve the team’s goal this season.“Our fans should expect nothing less than what we have always given them, which is victory in today match against Plateau United. We know they are a good side, but here we are talking about the ‘Soccer Temple’ where teams get beaten.

“As the main striker, I just have to give my best and expect the unity and love in the team to continue. Every goal that I have scored this season has been through the team’s effort. My teammates have been the ones giving me the support, without them the goals will not have come,” he said.

Speaking further on the NPFL’s top-flight league this season, Odey said God has been the club’s strength. He said the coaching crew too has done wonderfully well together with the management of the team.

“Yahweh has been our rock, the coach has been wonderful, together with the support of the rest coaching crew members. The management of the team has been supportive,” he stated.

A win in today’s game for the Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side against the Kennedy Boboye’s boy, will reduce the gap between two the teams to one point and may take them to second position. El kanemi Warriors currently second have an uphill task keeping their position as they face 16th place FC IfeanyUbah in Nnewi, Imo State.
