Head Coach of Plateau United, Kennedy Boboye, has declared that his team’s focus is to pay the Akwa United team back in their own coin, after losing 1-2 to the side at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, in their first encounter.

The Plateau boys will meet Promise Keepers in today’s Match Day 28 of the NPFL, scheduled for the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos. The host currently occupies the top spot with 48 points in 27 matches, while Akwa United, which is third in the league has 43 points from 26 games .

Speaking to The Guardian, yesterday, Boboye claimed the match had already been won and lost.“There is nothing so important about tomorrow’s match, it is just like every other ones we have been playing. The most important thing is for us to pick our three points.

“We played them in the first stanza, in Uyo and lost 2-1. This is our time to gain victory here in Jos. There is nothing special about the game but we are prepared,” he said.
Boboye, who stated that there were no injury worries among his players, however, assured that he would field a very strong side against the Akwa Ibom-based club side in order to ensure victory.
