After losing the Glo Premier League title to Enyimba of Aba, following a 0-0 draw in Aba last weekend, Warri Wolves FC will do everything possible to beat everyone to the remaining CAF Champions League slot.

Playing an already relegated FC Taraba at the Warri Stadium today will only produce one outcome – a home win with a scoreline only as empathic as the Seasiders decide.

They were blunt when it mattered upper weekend when they bash Bayelsa United 4-0 but surely they will be keen to make amends, more so in this tie, where the visitors with their fate already sealed, will most likely pose very little threat.

A second-placed finish is an improvement for the Seasiders from their third-placed finish last season and their reward is a CAF Champions League debut next season.

It was learnt yesterday that the management of Wolves has thrown the gate open for fans to support them against the visiting Taraba FC.

But the match day’s top-of-the-table most intriguing drama will centre around who finishes in third – the one remaining continental slot deductible from a league finish.
