Smokin Hills pick November 8 for Elizabeth Wuraola Ojo Memorial Tourney

The beautiful Smokin Hills Golf Resorts, Ilara-Mokin that is reputed as the most challenging golf course on the African continent has picked November 8 and 9 as dates for the 2019 edition of the annual Elizabeth Wuraola Ojo Memorial Golf Tournament (EWOMGT).

The invitational golf event has become a recurring feature in the diary of events of Toyota (Nigeria) Limited consistently for 16 years in memory of Late Chief (Mrs.) Elizabeth Wuraola Ojo, wife of the chairman of Toyota Nigeria Limited, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo.

According to Smokin Hills’ Manager, Marketing & Promotions, Prince Bayo
Aderinto, the sixth edition of the tournament will adopt “the Shot Gun System as it was in the previous editions.

“The tourney will tee off on November 8 with the professionals starting by 7.30 a.m., while the amateurs, men and ladies, will take to the endearing topography of the Smokin Hills November 9 also by 7.30 a.m.

“It is worth noting that Toyota (Nigeria) Limited, in its characteristic manner, will sponsor the star prize of hole in one
on hole13 with a prize of N5 million, while some of the models from the stables of Toyota will also be on display
during the tournament in order to avail golfers and other dignitaries an ample opportunity to touch and feel
the Toyota models.”

The golf event is expected to bring together captains of industry, businessmen and notable personalities to sprawling city of Ilara-Mokin in Ondo State.

Already, professionals and amateurs from across the country have registered for the tournament, which promises to leave an enduring golfing experience in the memory of the participants.
