Enugu Rangers’ winger, Bright Silas is confident that his team will defeat Bantu FC of Lesotho to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Rangers will meet the Lesotho champions in the first leg of the last qualifying round of the competition next week.

Speaking after yesterday’s training session inside the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, pint sized Silas said that motivation from the management, coaches and financiers of the team as well as the players’ self determination were the reasons for his belief that they would qualify for the group stage in place of the Southern African side.

Silas, who has three goals already in the competition, said, “We know our opponents would be a tough side but with our collective zeal and determination, we shall be winners in this round and qualify for the group stage.”

He continued, “Our fans should expect good football from us and by God’s grace and the training regime we are being put through, we shall have a good game with victory our target.”

Silas said his team would get the needed result in Maseru to make the return leg a mere formality stressing, “motivation is not lacking here as the management and government are doing their best to ensure we are comfortable moreover. All we desire from our supporters are prayers and continued belief as we go for the group stage ticket.”

Rangers will leave for Lesotho next week for the encounter slated for Sunday 13, 2019 in Maseru.
