Oshoala 2019 football championship kicks off December 4

A football competition put in place by Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, for girls is slated to kick off at the Campus mini stadium, Lagos Island next month.

According to the organisers, the first phase of the event will take place from December 4 to 6, while the second phase will hold between December 21 and 24.

Oshoala declared that her major aim is to ensure that the girl child gets well educated and at the same time attain any height in sports.

According to her, the football championship is to enable girls, who are talented in football horn their skills at the grassroots level.

She stated that the championship would also be a mentorship programme to put Nigeria girls on the right pact.

The organisers noted that this year’s edition will be more exciting, Just as they urge more teams and schools to register for the tournament for free.

They added that Oshoala Foundation was geared towards encouraging girls in Nigeria and Africa to pursue their dreams against all odds in sports and education.

Former and active football stars, as well as notable Nigerians, are expected to grace the occasion.
